Training & Consultancy officer under the community service directorate bridges the local community, mainly through training to fill the skill and knowledge gap and consultancy activities. This practical training service emphasizes women, youth, disability groups, and unemployment to address socio-economic challenges via entrepreneurship skills and knowledge. Consultancy services are another task that provides free legal services through the established 7 Free Legal Aid Centers in the university catchment area to assist vulnerable community groups with the right legal services through counseling, preparing complaints, answers and appeals, advocacy, and conscious service. Furthermore, providing consultancy services in the areas of engineering, agriculture, health, and business are additional tasks of the officers. All the above-described tasks required collaboration and partnerships with industries and governmental and non-governmental agencies to provide training and consultancy services that align with the university’s mission.
