Duties and Responsibilities
The University-Industry Linkage (UIL) office focuses on fostering collaborative partnerships between the university and various industries to enhance research, training, and internship opportunities. Key activities include preparing annual strategic plans and reports, identifying potential industry partners, and drafting Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to formalize these partnerships. The initiative aims to enhance existing linkages, investigate joint applied research projects, and facilitate quality internship placements while providing orientation and monitoring to ensure program success. Capacity-building training, consultancy, and technology transfer services are also offered to address industrial challenges. Additionally, the UIL program organizes workshops to raise awareness of its activities, maintains high standards for internship quality, and collaborates with technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions and research bodies to support industry extension programs. Access to relevant industrial reports and online learning opportunities is facilitated for students and staff to further enrich the educational experience and promote certification in various fields.
